Cisco Catalyst 2960S IOS Update (Part 1) の続きです。
IOS ソフトウェア ダウンロード -> バックアップの後はアップデートを実行します。
アップデート 12.2 系 -> 15.2 系 (archive)
archive コマンドでダウンロードすることでアップデートしますが、1 回目は失敗しました。

"Old image for switch 1: unknown" が問題の様です。試しに再度まったく同様に実行すると今度は Unable to create temp dir "flash:update" で終了しました。
flash:/update/ が存在していたので削除した後、改めて実行すると今度は成功しました。

成功する場合は Old image for switch 1: の後にソフトウェアのパスが表示されています。
失敗した場合のカレントディレクトリは flash:/ ではありませんでした。成功した場合は直前に cd (flash:/ 直下に移動) しているので成功した様です。
インストールが完了するまでに 13 分程度、再起動の完了に 5 分程度で 20 分弱要します。
Old image for の後は画面が静止したまま 10 分弱掛かりますが、慌てずに待ちましょう。以下は実際に計測した所要時間の一例です。

15.0 系 -> 15.2 系と異なり dc_default_profiles.txt が残っていました。
sw#delete flash:/c2960s-universalk9-mz.152-1.E/dc_default_profiles.txt
試しに削除して reload しても正常に起動しているので、特に問題ない様です。
